Mr. Robert Etheredge is a proud member of the Saluda High School class of 1999. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina, Master’s in Educational Leadership from Cambridge College. Mr. Etheredge is an accomplished educator and has served in many roles in his career. 

He began his career in education as a PE Teacher at Strom Thurmond High School in 2005-2010. He has also been a teacher and Head Boys Basketball Coach at Swansea and Saluda High. Mr. Etheredge became an Administrator at Saluda High at the beginning of the 2016-2017 school year. He served as an Assistant Principal for 3 years before being named Principal in 2019.

In addition to being a Principal and Teacher, Mr. Etheredge is also a licensed trainer for the International Institute of Restorative Practices. He is very passionate about the social and emotional well-being of his students and staff. He believes in building a culture of community; one relationship at a time.

Before coming to Saluda High School, Mr. Shealy was a classroom teacher at Riverside Middle School, Ninety Six High School, and Saluda High School. He also coached and served as Athletic Director and spent a year as Director at Saluda Alternative School. Mr. Shealy served 9 years as Assistant Principal at Saluda Middle School.

Mr. Shealy is graduate of Saluda High School, the University of South Carolina, and Nova Southeastern University.

Christy Roberts

Mrs. Christy Mayson Roberts began her career in education at Saluda High School in 2012. She taught English for seven years before becoming the Assistant Principal for Instruction. Mrs. Roberts graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of South Carolina Aiken in 2012 and earned her Master's Degree at Clemson University in 2020. Mrs. Roberts believes that those in education have the greatest job in the world and strives to always do what is best for students.

Brad Johnson

Mr. Brad Johnson has taught Business Education for the past ten years at Saluda High School. In 2020, he was named Saluda County School District Teacher of the Year. During his years at Saluda, he has served as an Assistant Baseball Coach and is the creator of Tiger Paw Printing, a student-led organization that provides large-format printing services. He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina at Aiken and is currently pursuing his Master’s in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University. Mr. Johnson has a passion for instructing, developing, and educating adolescents and believes that the key to education is in building relationships with students. In order to accomplish this goal, one must reach the heart before educating the mind.
